Agriforce Doubles Down on Local Advantage
As AgQuip’s only locally-owned and operated tractor dealership, Agriforce Machinery already had the advantage on its competitors.
The Gunnedah-based, independent enterprise offers complete agricultural solutions for growers from planting to harvest.
The team provides quality farm machinery and servicing, from Massey Ferguson tractors, hay equipment and telehandlers, to Fendt tractors, Iseki mowers and compact tractors and more.
It has been a whirlwind 12 months for owners Kate and Nick Rouhan who only recently purchased the business and already are poised to expand.
Kate said the Gunnedah business is soon due to launch into Scone in the Upper Hunter.
“We’re just a little business, we don’t have a big name but we’re getting bigger over time,” she said.
She said owning a tractor business was a dream fulfilled for the Rouhan family.
“We only bought the business about a year ago but have lived in Gunnedah for about seven years,” Kate said.
“Nick has been a sales manager at different places around NSW but his dream was to run a tractor dealership so when the opportunity arose, we did it.
Their AgQuip site was a busy hive of activity on Tuesday as staff started fielding a steady line of enquiries about various equipment.
Under the Agriforce marquee, small children’s tractor bikes were lined up alongside the hay bales – a nod to the little members of the Rouhan family – Gabby and Pippa – aged three and one.
With the local advantage on their side, the Agriforce team was looking forward to the remaining days of AgQuip.
“People are buying equipment from the owner of the business, not just the worker, I think that sets us apart from everyone else around here,” she said.
